Welcome to the Series

The New York State Cornhole Series gives New York players one connected season: weekly Club events, monthly Region competition, two State Events and the New York State Cornhole Championships in July. It's an independent statewide organization, run by a Director Board and a Player Board.

Why play the Series

• Every weekly event counts. Club, Region and State results all feed one statewide ranking.
• Cash payouts. Every Series event pays out 80% of entry fees in cash, not wallet credit.
• State recognition. Season titles, jerseys and awards for New York players, without chasing a pro tour.
• Your money stays local. $20 of each adult membership goes to the Club or Region you choose.

The season at a glance

Points count from January 1, 2027 to June 30, 2027: 27 scoring weeks. A scoring week runs Monday 12:00 a.m. to Sunday 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

Membership

Join online at nyscornhole.com/membership. A small online processing fee is added so it doesn't come out of the Series, your Club or your Region. Memberships are non-refundable.

What your membership includes

• Series points and your place in Club, Region and State standings
• Eligibility for qualified Singles and Doubles events at the New York State Cornhole Championships
• Eligibility for season titles, awards, Premier status (age 16+), All-State selection and State Showcase events
• A public player profile with your standings and event results
• Retroactive credit for eligible results since January 1, 2027, as long as you join by April 30, 2027
• $20 of your membership ($10 for a paid junior) goes to the Club or Region you choose

Where the Series' share goes

The statewide website and standings, administration, awards and jerseys, State Events and the Championships.

No membership needed to play

Anyone can enter regular Series Club events. Non-members just don't earn points or qualify for season awards and championship events.

Levels of play

Club: weekly

The weekly heartbeat of the season. Clubs have broad format freedom (Singles, Doubles, Blind Draw, Switcholio, Swiss, Round Robin, Knockout, Tandem Doubles and other fair formats) and can run as many points events as they like. Play as often as you want: only your best 2 results each scoring week count.

Region: monthly

Once a month in each Region, with at least one Singles and one Doubles competition. You can travel to other Regions; your best Singles and best Doubles finish each month are what count.

State: twice a season

Two State Events during the season. Your better Singles finish and better Doubles finish count toward season points.

Blind Draw and Switcholio results count toward your individual points. Events need at least 6 Singles players or 6 Doubles teams to award points.

Points

Club points are the same for every class. Region and State Event points depend on your class: Series 1, Series 2 or Series 3. Singles and Doubles use the same values.

Play as often as you like. Only your best 2 Club results each scoring week count, so points build steadily across the season and can't be piled up with late-season blind draws.

Maximum points available

Club: 52 counted results at 1st place. Region: your best 4 months at 1st place. State Events: your better finish from the two State Events.

Region and State Events include both Singles and Doubles.

Your best Singles and best Doubles finish each month are eligible, and your best 4 months in each count.

Points by finish: State Events

There are two State Events during the season. Your better Singles finish and better Doubles finish across the two count toward season points. The Championships in July crown the season's titles and don't add season points.

Standings and skill classes

Rankings you can appear in

• Club, Region and overall New York State rankings
• Separate Singles and Doubles standings and season titles
• Women's, Senior (55+ by season start) and Junior (15 and under) Circuits, each with its own State standings and titles

Skill classes

Every player is placed in one of three classes: Series 1 (highest), Series 2 and Series 3, shortened to S1, S2 and S3 in standings. Your class sets your Region and State Event point values.

• How you're placed: a composite ranking built from Scoreholio stats, including PPR, DPR, four-bagger rate, in-the-hole rate, off-board rate and podium finishes.
• New players: placed from your ACL or Scoreholio stats. If you have neither, a Series Director places you.
• Moving classes: players can move up or down during the season based on performance, on published review dates.
• Doubles: a team plays in the class of its higher-ranked partner.

Out-of-state players

Players from other states may play in Series events but don't earn points or appear in standings. New York players move up into their places: if an out-of-state player wins, the top New York finisher gets 1st-place points.

Qualifying for the Championships

Your home Region is the Region you live in. You can play Region events anywhere in the state, but at least 2 of your qualifying Region Singles and 2 of your qualifying Region Doubles must be in your home Region.

To qualify for your class's Singles and Doubles events at the Championships, you need a current membership and these minimums. That's about 40% of the season's Club weeks and half the Region months, so regular players qualify without attending everything.

Team play

• Region team events: during the season, Clubs field 6–8 player teams at team events in each Region.
• Club Team Championship: at the Championships, each Club enters a 20-player roster spread across five tiers.

State Events and the Championships

State Events

Two State Events during the season (dates TBA). Your better Singles finish and better Doubles finish count toward season points. Class events: Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 Singles and Doubles. Women's, Senior and Junior events run at both State Events, and both results count toward that Circuit.

New York State Cornhole Championships

Friday to Sunday in July 2027. The Championships crown the season's titles and don't add season points.

• Class championships: Series 1, 2 and 3 Singles and Doubles for qualified players, seeded by final State ranking.
• Open event: crowns the overall Grand Champion. Open to all.
• Women's, Senior and Junior championships for each Circuit.
• Teams: the Club Team Championship.
• Blind draws run throughout the weekend.

Women's, Senior and Junior Circuits

Each Circuit has its own State standings and titles, separate from regular State points.

• Region events: each Region may host up to 3 Women's, 3 Senior and 3 Junior events per season. Your best 2 count toward your Circuit.
• State Events: Women's, Senior and Junior events run at both State Events, and both results count.
• Point values: Circuit events use the Series 1 values.
• Eligibility: Senior is 55+ by season start; Junior is 15 and under.

What you're chasing

• Premier: the top 64 eligible players age 16+ after Year One earn Premier status for Year Two.
• All-State Team: a 20-player New York roster selected from State ranking, PPR, participation and availability.
• Road Warrior: one male and one female player with the most active event participation. Each gets a special jersey and a free next-season membership.
• State Showcase: special one-off competitions against other state organizations.

Equipment and rules of play

Series events follow the Series Rules of Play, built on ACL rules with Series-specific additions. The full Rules of Play will be published separately.

• Bags: any bag is legal except corn-filled bags.
• Scoring platform: all Series events run on Scoreholio, which is also the source for player statistics.
